⚠️ Editorial Removal Notice — Legal Consistency Review (2026-03-25)

The following items were identified in the User Guide as contradicting, overpromising, or creating legal risk relative to these Terms, and were removed or corrected:

  • • Removed: "Your data, your rules" from Privacy Settings guide — overpromises user data sovereignty contrary to Terms §8 (Content License) and §9 (Moderation Rights) which grant AdVoteCate broad data handling rights.
  • • Removed: "similar to Facebook & Instagram" from Privacy Settings and Social Feed guides — competitor name comparisons create implied equivalency claims and potential trademark/advertising law exposure.
  • • Updated: Moderation guide note on automated suspensions now includes reference to appeal rights, aligning with Terms §9 and Community Standards (appeal procedures exist and must be disclosed).
  • • Added to Legal Framework: AI Feed Personalization clause (Data & AI Governance §AI Feed Personalization and Privacy Policy §4) to legally cover the new engagement-ratio detection feature, ensuring it is disclosed and distinguished from prohibited behavioral profiling.
